What to see

A keeper of East Indian heritage and culture, the main building at the Indian Caribbean Museum (ICM) houses hundreds of artifacts including photos, documents, books, paintings, old musical instruments, agricultural objects used on the cocoa, coffee and sugar estates, cooking utensils etc.

Art Gallery with paintings from local East Indian artists like James Isaiah Boodhoo, Parma Singh, Prabhu Singh, Shastri Maharaj and M.P. Alladin.

In 2013, National Geographic Magazine named the Indian Caribbean Museum one of “500 Sacred Places of a Lifetime”. See this and many other reference library books and articles from writers such as Dr. Kumar Mahabir, Dr. Dennison Moore, V.S. Naipaul, Dr. Brinsley Samaroo to name a few.
